Alexandra Koufouli
Project Officer

Alexandra is a PhD candidate at the Sociology Department of Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences (Greece). Her thesis focuses on reoffending of incarcerated male offenders and she is currently conducting research in various prison settings across Greece.

She is as a teaching Assistant at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, organizing and supervising the students’ research projects for the undergraduate course of “Victimology”. She teaches seminars on methodology of scientific research, statistical analysis, the writing scientific articles and reports, while also supervising students’ papers and presentations at international conferences.

Alexandra holds a BA in Psychology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greece) and an MSc in Clinical Psychology from Leiden University (The Netherlands). She has previously worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Criminal Law and Criminology of Leiden University and has volunteered as a psychologist in diverse settings. Alexandra has authored peer-reviewed papers for academic journals and books and is a founding member of the Greek Society for the Study of Crime and Social Control.

With a strong background in research methodology, statistics, offender rehabilitation and theory, as well as victimology, Alexandra is currently working as a Project Officer at the RJ4All Institute and is also secretariat of the International Symposia on Restorative Justice.
