The Role

As a SEND Support Worker at RJ4All, you will play a vital role in providing assistance to young individuals participating in our resilience-building Youth Clubs+ during half term and holidays. The RJ4All Youth Clubs consist of structured activities including sports, cultural trips, arts and crafts, cooking sessions, and our resilience-building workshops.

In this position, you will actively engage with young people with special education needs and difficulties such as social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH), speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) including Autism, and Specific Learning Difficulites (SpLD). Your responsibilities extend to offering one-to-one support, ensuring the physical, social, and emotional welfare of each child, and fostering children’s growth, self-esteem, and independence.

Your role as a SEND Support Worker contributes significantly to the overall success of the Youth Clubs+ program, making a positive impact on the lives of young people with diverse needs.

This role offers an hourly rate of £25-£35 based on experience. The position is on an ad-hoc basis with the first dates as the 21st and 22nd of December. The working hours are from 10:30am-4:00pm.


Summary of Key tasks

  • To support young people with SEND attending RJ4All Youth Clubs+.
  • To promote positive behaviour and support children's personal, social and emotionaldevelopment.
  • To foster children's growth, self-esteem and independence.
  • Provide feedback on the supported young people to the team during daily debriefs.
  • To develop and maintain positive relationships with young people attending youth club+.
  • To attend relevant training in order to fulfil the requirements of the job (e.g Autism Awareness Training)
