THE RJ4ALL YOUTH CLUBS+

Building Youth Resilience

As part of our mission to address poverty and provide children and young people with accessible, free, and positive opportunities, we run the RJ4All Youth Clubs+. Our primary objective is to foster youth resilience and contribute to our long-term vision of building the world's first restorative justice postcode. At RJ4All, we believe that in order to improve community cohesion, address anti-social behaviour and pursue equal opportunities for all, first we must provide tailored and genuine opportunities to our youth and communities that tap into their talents and interests. Our Youth Clubs+ follow our Theory of Change and are based on our RJiNEAR model.

Youth Clubs+ are held outside of school hours during half-terms (February, May, October) and school holidays (Christmas, Easter, and summer breaks) at the RJ4All Rotherhithe Community Centre. Each club spans a week, offering children and young people a diverse range of activities that nurture their minds, hearts, and bodies. Notably, we feature the RJiNEAR resilience workshops, sports, arts, gardening, and cultural trips. The activities are delivered by youth workers and a highly qualified team of personal trainers, artists, musicians, and project officers. Hot lunch, nutritious breakfast, refreshments, and snacks are provided.

Registration is mandatory, and places are limited to 20 per day. Our Youth Clubs+ are free and always over-subscribed. Priority is given to families who are faced with socio-economic disadvantages, single parents and groups from marginalised backgrounds.

Our Youth Clubs+ programme aligns with Southwark Council's vision for Youth Services. The Council underscores the importance of employing high-quality, modern services tailored to the needs of young people, aiming to support them in living happy, secure, and enriched lives while successfully transitioning into adulthood. Adhering to this vision, our Youth Clubs+ programme embodies the principles of equality, inclusiveness, diversity and quality.
